OVI Store updated with improvements to user experience

March 30th, 2010

Nokia have updated their Ovi Store with a number of useful improvements aimed at enhancing the overall user experience.

Improvements include:

  • Five Star ratings for content (previously content was rated out of three stars).
  • When an application is reviewed the review makes a note of the device used, for example an N97 or E52 etc
  • You must have downloaded an app or game etc to review it.
  • Changes to app detail page allowing more useful information and screenshots etc

You’ll need to update the Ovi Store app on your phone to access the store, you should be automatically prompted to update next time you open it.

If you prefer to browse Ovi via the desktop client on your PC you’ll be pleased to know that Ovi have made improvements to device selection making it easier to select or change your device.

In addition, the desktop Ovi Store features a revised search interface with a list-based view of content which should make it easier to find the content you want.

More information on the update can be found at the Ovi Blog
